During the 2022-23 academic year the costume shop built costumes for Stupid F##king Bird, Pippin, and WCDT dance concert.
Stupid F##king Bird - Costume Designer: Jade Almsberger
My primary project for this show was creating a button down collared shirt. This projected included pattern matching. flat lining, and buttons. In addition to this project, I made many alteration on other costume items including hems on pants, and quick rigging. (Production photos by Bartlett Photo Art)
Pippin - Costume Designer: Adia Tolbert
I had two projects that I primarily worked on for this show. One of them was the kings cape. I spent many hours covered in fur, removing the old fur and replacing it with this wonderful white/black dotted fur. Measuring the existing fur and piecing together, creating a pattern for the semicircular neck piece, pulling the fur out of seams, and had tacking parts of it down.

The Second project that I worked on was taking an existing robe and turning it into Fastrada's over coat. During this projected I worked with another shop employee and learned techniques on draping on a form. and then created many ruffles to go around the piece, a belt, and a panel that ran down the front of it. In addition this was quick rigged for the actress to removed onstage.
